In the US, broadband performance has converged on a level of very good quality, with the top four ISPs delivering average monthly speeds between 3.65Mbps and 3.61Mbps.
netflixAccording to the May Netflix ISP Speed Index, which shows which ISPs provide the best prime time Netflix streaming experience, Bright House took the top spot for the first time. The cableco was closely followed by Verizon FiOS, Cox and Cablevision.
“We’ve started seeing big moves in the Asian countries recently added,” Netflix noted. “In South Korea, Korea Telecom jumped two spots to first place, delivering an average monthly speed of 3.03Mbps, up from 2.55Mbps a month ago. In Taiwan, Hoshin Multimedia jumped four spots in that country’s index with an average monthly speed of 2.81 Mbps, up from 2.21 Mbps in April.”
In Argentina, Telecom jumped two spots to third place with an average speed of 2.16Mbps, up from 1.67Mbps last month.
