German pay-TV broadcaster Sky Deutschland has introduced an app for children in Germany and Austria.
With the offer which features a user interface tailor-made for the young target group, selected children’s series from TV channels Boomerang, Cartoon Network, Disney Junior, Disney XD and Junior can be watched on-demand, for example Maya the Bee, Heidi or Adventure Time.
Parents can preselect the content based on their children’s age with filters of 0, 6 and 12 years of age or older. At launch, more than 2,000 series episodes are available.
The Sky Kids app which is part of the Sky Entertainment package at no extra charge can be downloaded onto the iPad and selected Android tablets. For login, the Sky customer number and PIN code are required.
